We believe clear communication builds trust. Below you'll find our policies so you know exactly what to expect when booking care for your pets with The Dog Sitting Co.
Tell us about your pet
We'll need a little more information to give your dog the best care possible. This helps us learn about their daily routine, personality, and any special needs.
Please fill out our Pet Information Sheet and submit it by email or bring it to your meet and greet!
Health & Safety
- Pets must be up to date on all vaccinations and wear proper identification.
- In the event of an emergency, we will contact you immediately and, if necessary, take your pet to their veterinarian. We ask that important medical information be included with the Pet Information Sheet.
- Emergency vet visits are at the owner's expense.
- During extreme weather (heat, snow, flooding, etc.), outdoor activities may be substituted for indoor activities for the safety of your pet and the sitter.
- We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service if a pet displays unsafe aggression or behavior that puts people, other animals, or themselves at risk. Part of the process of our meet and greet is to ensure that the sitter is comfortable handling your pet.
- Our sitters are bonded and insured.

Clients may provide a spare key, door code, or lockbox. All keys are labeled anonymously and stored securely.
How do I fill out the Pet Information Sheet?
You can download the sheet from our website or request a copy by email. You can complete and submit it online or bring a printed copy to your meet and greet.
Do you charge extra for multiple pets?
Yes, each additional dog incurs a daily charge ranging from $50-$20, depending on their size. Check our service pricing for more information.
What happens in bad weather?
For inclement weather (such as extreme heat, freeze, flooding, etc.) walks may be shortened and outdoor time will be replaced with indoor time. In the case of natural disaster (such as hurricanes, fires, long-term power outages, etc.) a sitter may take your pet to a designated safe area.
